TheRealJoeCo.com vs. Joe Colangelo’s Public Record

Updated October 1, 2026

Joseph “Joe” Colangelo maintains TheRealJoeCo.com, a personal website presenting his account of his career, accomplishments, business history and current ventures.

The website describes Joe Colangelo as an entrepreneur, executive, investor and business leader and prominently discusses his current association with StoriBot AI.

But TheRealJoeCo.com is a self-published biography, not a complete public record.

A review of public court records, official Calgary Co-op materials, archived websites and previously published media reveals significant parts of Colangelo’s recent public history that are not identified on TheRealJoeCo.com.

This page documents those omissions and identifies the sources so readers can review the information and reach their own conclusions.

What TheRealJoeCo.com Tells Readers

TheRealJoeCo.com provides an extensive narrative of Joe Colangelo’s professional history and accomplishments.

Among his current activities, the website describes him as:

“Partner and investor, StoriBot AI.”

Colangelo’s LinkedIn profile has separately identified him as Chief Operating Officer of StoriBot.ai, beginning in May 2026.

Independent media coverage also identifies Colangelo with StoriBot. On September 28, 2026,   Retail Insider reported that StoriBot's leadership group included Joe Colangelo as “partner and chief operating officer.” The article also identifies Michael Harris as StoriBot's founder and CEO. This provides third-party published support for Colangelo's claimed partner and COO titles.

However, the Retail Insider article appears to rely substantially on information supplied by StoriBot and its executives and should not be characterized as independent verification of an ownership interest or financial investment by Colangelo.

The distinction is relevant because the terms partner, investor and Chief Operating Officer describe different relationships with a company. Publicly available material reviewed for this page supports Colangelo being publicly presented as StoriBot's partner and COO.

It does not, by itself, establish the amount or nature of any ownership interest or investment attributed to him.

No allegation of wrongdoing by StoriBot is made or implied here. This information is included solely to accurately document the professional roles Colangelo currently represents publicly.

The Other Side of “The Real Joe”: Pending Alberta Criminal Charges of Fraud X3

As reviewed in October 2026, TheRealJoeCo.com does not identify the pending Alberta criminal proceedings in its general biographical presentation. However, on October 1, 2026, Joe Colangelo published a response addressing the fraud-related charges.

Under the heading “The fraud-related charges,” Colangelo states:

“The first two charges were stayed on November 10, 2025. A third related charge, which I understand resulted from a clerical error, was not served on me until February 2026.”

He further states:

“The third charge is connected to the first two. I expect it to be stayed as well, but that has not yet happened; its status remains before the court.”

Colangelo also correctly notes that “A charge is an allegation, not a finding that the alleged conduct occurred.”

What the Court Information Shows

Alberta Court File 220918098P1, as reviewed by this website in October 2026, identifies three charges under section 380(1)(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada, each alleging fraud involving a value exceeding $5,000.

The criminal Information does not specify an exact monetary value for each alleged offence beyond the statutory threshold of more than $5,000.

More recent court information reviewed by this website continues to identify the proceeding with three fraud-over-$5,000 counts and a two-day trial scheduled for April 15–16, 2027. The three fraud charges remain ACTIVE.

Accordingly, Joe Colangelo's October 1 statement that two charges were stayed on November 10, 2025 and that he expects the remaining charge to be stayed represents his account of the procedural history and his expectation concerning the case. His statement itself acknowledges that the remaining matter has not been stayed and remains before the court.

A separate Alberta proceeding, Court File 260145941P1, concerns an allegation that Colangelo failed to attend court while bound by an undertaking.

These are criminal allegations, not findings of guilt. Joseph Colangelo is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Repurpose Solutions: What Joe Colangelo Says vs. What the Corporate Records Show

In his October 1, 2026 response on TheRealJoeCo.com, Joe Colangelo addressed the status of both Repurpose Solutions Canada Inc. and Repurpose Solutions (USA) LLC.

Regarding the Canadian corporation, Colangelo states:

“Repurpose Solutions Canada Inc. was allowed to lapse deliberately. I made that decision as a defensive measure in response to accusations from Calgary Co-op.”

The Alberta corporate record establishes that Repurpose Solutions Canada Inc. was dissolved on February 2, 2024. The registry record itself does not establish Joe Colangelo's reason or motivation for allowing the corporation to dissolve. His explanation that the dissolution was deliberate and undertaken as a “defensive measure” is therefore Colangelo's own explanation of the circumstances, rather than a conclusion contained in the corporate registry.

Repurpose Solutions USA LLC

Joe Colangelo separately states:

“Repurpose Solutions USA LLC, registered in California, remains active. According to my current records, its next filing is due in February 2027.”

The first portion of that statement is consistent with the California corporate registry: Repurpose Solutions (USA) LLC is currently listed as Active.

However, the California Secretary of State business record reviewed in October 2026 displays:

Statement of Information Due: February 28, 2025 not February 2027.

Accordingly, while the entity presently remains listed as Active, the filing date displayed by the California Secretary of State does not match the February 2027 date stated byJoe Colangelo on TheRealJoeCo.com.

What “Active” Does - and Does Not - Establish

The fact that Repurpose Solutions (USA) LLC currently appears as Active in California's corporate registry establishes the company's present entity status. It does not, by itself, describe the company's financial condition, liabilities, judgment liens, business activity or whether required informational filings are current.

Similarly, the dissolution of Repurpose Solutions Canada Inc. establishes the Canadian corporation's legal status. The registry does not establish why the corporation was allowed to dissolve.

For that reason, this website distinguishes between what government records establish and Colangelo's personal explanation of those records.

Joe Colangelo’s Ferrari Raffle: What TheRealJoeCo.com Does not identify

Ferrari Raffle and Charity Verification

TheRealJoeCo.com now addresses the Ferrari-themed raffle that was promoted during 2026. The campaigns appeared through websites including FerrariDream.com, FerrariRaffle.ca, DreamToDrive.world and related promotional pages. Those campaign websites are no longer publicly available.

On October 1, 2026, Joe Colangelo published a statement titled “My Response to Public Claims About Me.” In the section titled “The raffle,” Colangelo stated:

“The raffle was shut down because the available timeframe was too short. There were only six weeks, and the charities I was working to involve—including Calgary Health Foundation, Alberta Children’s Hospital, and Diabetes of Alberta—could not complete the necessary steps in time.”

He further stated:

“The fact that a promotion was discontinued does not, by itself, establish that it was fraudulent.”

The second statement is correct as a general proposition: the disappearance or discontinuation of a promotional website does not, by itself, establish fraud or criminal wrongdoing. This website does not make that inference merely because the raffle websites became unavailable.

However, new information obtained directly from the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation provides important context concerning Colangelo’s description of the Foundation as one of the charities he was “working to involve.”

Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation Responds

In written correspondence received after an inquiry seeking verification of the charitable relationship, an authorized representative of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation stated:

“In this case, we were not told about the raffle in advance of it being advertised, the written application process was not completed, the criteria was not met and we certainly did not approve this raffle/give a licence number, nor do we endorse it or its organizer.”

The Foundation further stated:

“We raised these concerns directly with the organizer and told them that we did not want to be associated with this promotion and to remove any reference to our name/charity immediately.”

This response provides information that is not included in Colangelo’s October 1 explanation.

Joe Colangelo characterizes the situation as one in which the charities he was working to involve “could not complete the necessary steps in time.” The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation, however, states that it was not informed about the raffle before it was advertised, that the required written application process was not completed, that its criteria were not met, that it did not approve or endorse the raffle, and that it subsequently instructed the organizer to remove references to the Foundation from the promotion.

Readers can consider both statements and the underlying documentation when evaluating the differing descriptions of what occurred.

Raffle Licence Questions

A raffle licence number was also displayed in connection with the promotion. Questions were submitted to the applicable gaming regulator concerning whether the licence displayed was valid for the raffle as represented, and the promotion was reported to the regulator for review.

Unless and until a written regulatory determination is available, this website does not characterize the regulator's response as a formal finding of fraud, illegality, or criminal wrongdoing.

The disappearance of FerrariDream.com, FerrariRaffle.ca, DreamToDrive.world and related campaign pages likewise does not, standing alone, establish why those websites were removed.

Written response from Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation

The Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation is always so happy and grateful when people create legitimate fundraising initiatives to support our organization. We do, however, have a rigorous application process to make sure that all criteria are met and that the activity/event is approved by our organization in advance of it going ahead.

In this case, we were not told about the raffle in advance of it being advertised, the written application process was not completed, the criteria was not met and we certainly did not approve this raffle/give a licence number, nor do we endorse it or its organizer.

We raised these concerns directly with the organizer and told them that we did not want to be associated with this promotion and to remove any reference to our name/charity immediately.

Please let me know if you need any further information.

Sincerely,

Calgary Health Foundation Confirms No Partnership or Fundraising Arrangement Was Established

Calgary Health Foundation has now also responded directly to an inquiry seeking verification of its involvement with the Ferrari raffle.

An authorized representative of the Foundation stated:

“Calgary Health Foundation was approached about a potential Ferrari raffle and through a preliminary conversation we identified regulatory and licensing requirements that would need to be addressed before our participation could even be considered. No partnership or fundraising arrangement was ever established.”

This provides additional context to Joe Colangelo's October 1, 2026 statement that Calgary Health Foundation was among the charities he was “working to involve” and that the charities “could not complete the necessary steps in time.”

The Foundation's response establishes that discussions occurred, but describes them as preliminary and states that regulatory and licensing requirements needed to be addressed before its participation could even be considered.

Most importantly, Calgary Health Foundation confirms that no partnership or fundraising arrangement was ever established.

Written Response from Calgary Health Foundation

Thank you for reaching out to us. Calgary Health Foundation was approached about a potential Ferrari raffle and through a preliminary conversation we identified regulatory and licensing requirements that would need to be addressed before our participation could even be considered. No partnership or fundraising arrangement was ever established.

 Thank you,

Joe Colangelo and Calgary Co-op: The Restraining Orders Missing From TheRealJoeCo.com

Another significant part of Joe Colangelo’s recent public history involves his dispute with Calgary Co-operative Association Limited.

Calgary Co-op’s official 2026 Annual Member-Owner Meeting materials state that the organization obtained a short-term restraining order against Joseph Colangelo in the fall of 2025.

Calgary Co-op stated that although the order subsequently expired, it believed the conduct giving rise to the order continued. This information comes directly from Calgary Co-op’s official member materials rather than from commentary on this website.

Calgary Co-op Terminated Colangelo’s Membership

Calgary Co-op’s official records further state that its Board passed a Special Resolution on or about March 26, 2026 terminating Joe Colangelo’s membership.

Joe Colangelo exercised his right to appeal that decision.

In explaining its decision, Calgary Co-op’s Board cited what it characterized as:

  • Non-compliance with a Court of King’s Bench costs order.
  • Dissemination of false and misleading information concerning Calgary Co-op, its employees, directors and subsidiaries.
  • Interference with Calgary Co-op’s external auditors.
  • Continued disruptive conduct following the earlier restraining order.
  • Breach of Member-Owner obligations.

These are Calgary Co-op’s allegations and stated reasons for its decision. They are reproduced here as the organization’s position and should not be interpreted as independent findings by this website.

The Calgary Co-op dispute and membership proceedings were not identified on TheRealJoeCo.com when reviewed. For more info refer to page: Calgary Co-op

Court Costs Order in Calgary Co-op’s Favour - Reported as Unpaid

The dispute between Joseph Colangelo and Calgary Co-op also resulted in a Court of King’s Bench costs order in favour of Calgary Co-op.

In its official 2026 AGM materials concerning Colangelo’s membership termination, the Calgary Co-op Board stated that Joe Colangelo had not complied with the costs order despite the Court’s direction and repeated follow-up from Calgary Co-op. The Board specifically identified this non-compliance as one of the reasons supporting its decision to terminate his membership.

This is particularly relevant when considering the public narrative presented on TheRealJoeCo.com. While that website highlights Colangelo’s business accomplishments and current ventures, the court costs order and Calgary Co-op’s statement that it remained unpaid were not identified on TheRealJoeCo.com when reviewed.

The publicly available Calgary Co-op document does not state the amount of the costs award, its payment deadline, or whether it has subsequently been satisfied. Accordingly, this site does not speculate about the amount currently owing. It reports Calgary Co-op’s published statement concerning the order and Colangelo’s alleged non-compliance.

What “TheRealJoeCo.com” Does Not Tell Readers

TheRealJoeCo.com provides an extensive account of the professional history and accomplishments Colangelo has chosen to highlight.

As reviewed, however, it does not identify several significant components of his recent public record:

  • Three pending Alberta fraud-over-$5,000 charges and a separate undertaking-related allegation are still ACTIVE.
  • Statement of Information on Repurpose Solutions USA LLC is Overdue: Feb 28, 2025
  • The 2026 Ferrari raffle and fundraising campaigns, the disputed raffle licence and the charitable connection associated with those promotions were confirmed by the charity organizations that they did not approve the raffle or provide a license.
  • The short-term restraining order Calgary Co-op states it obtained against Colangelo in 2025. In 2026, Colangelo publicly stated on LinkedIn that Calgary Co-op was pursuing an additional emergency restraining order against him. His post describes an emergency court application; the outcome of that application has not been independently confirmed.
  • Calgary Co-op’s March 2026 decision to terminate his membership and the reasons the Board publicly provided for doing so.
  • Calgary Co-op Board stated that Joe Colangelo had not complied with the costs order despite the Court’s direction and repeated follow-up from Calgary Co-op.

None of these omissions, standing alone, establishes that statements appearing on TheRealJoeCo.com are false.

A personal website is not required to disclose every lawsuit, criminal allegation, court proceeding, business dispute or controversy involving its subject.

The distinction is nevertheless important for someone searching for “the real Joe Colangelo.”

TheRealJoeCo.com presents Joe Colangelo’s selected account of himself. Public records provide additional information that does not appear in that account.
